Quartz Quartz The most durable epoxy floor in the industry, All Star's Quartz, is a three-component system consisting of 100% high build epoxy resin, chemical resistant polyurethane, and colored quartz aggregate. Quartz is a mineral ranked just below the diamond on the hardness scale. During the molecular bonding stage of the installation process, Quartz minerals are heavily broadcasted over a wet epoxy coating. Once dry, all excess quartz is swept from the floor and second coat of epoxy and quartz is applied. These coats are then topped with a third coat of epoxy and a fourth coat of polyurethane.
